Video Editor Intern

Saarathi Academy teaches tech skills in Kathmandu to people starting from zero. Batches stay small, ten students at most, and every course is built around real projects.

Most people find us through a video: a reel from a real class, a student showing what they built, a 30-second ad. We want someone who can make those videos good enough that people stop and watch.

This is a 3-month internship at our Old Baneshwor office, Sunday to Friday. You sit next to the person who runs our ads, so you see the numbers on everything you cut, and your work goes out on our pages within days.

• Cut reels, ads and short clips from class footage, student interviews and talking-head recordings.
• Write and time captions in English and Nepali, so every video works with the sound off.
• Add music, simple motion graphics and our brand look without making it noisy.
• Check how each video did once it went live, like watch time and where people dropped off, and use that on the next one.
• Keep raw footage and project files organised so anyone on the team can find them.

• You have edited videos before, for yourself, a club, a page or a client, and you can show us.
• You are fluent in at least one of Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut or After Effects.
• You think about the first two seconds of a video before anything else.
• You take feedback on a cut without taking it personally, and turn a revision around the same day.
• You can be at our Old Baneshwor office Sunday to Friday for the full 3 months.

• A portfolio of real work: videos that ran on live pages and paid ads, with numbers you can talk about.
• Feedback every week from the person who runs our ads.
• A certificate and a reference letter when you finish.
• A good intern can be offered a role at the end.
